1Overview
DownloadEra ("we", "us", "our") respects the intellectual property rights of content creators and copyright holders and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and applicable international copyright laws.
DownloadEra is a technical tool that provides users with the ability to access publicly available video content from third-party platforms. We do not host, store, upload, or redistribute any video content on our servers. We act solely as a technical intermediary.
This DMCA Policy describes the process for submitting copyright infringement notices and counter-notices, and explains how DownloadEra responds to such notices in accordance with the law.
2Our Role — No Content Hosting
DownloadEra does not host any video files. When a user submits a URL, our system retrieves publicly accessible stream information from the originating platform's servers. All content remains on the third-party platform's infrastructure.
Because we do not host content, copyright infringement claims regarding specific video content should, in the first instance, be directed to the platform on which the content is hosted (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok). However, if you believe our tool is being used to facilitate infringement in a manner that affects your rights, you may submit a notice under this Policy.
3Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act on behalf of one) and believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Copyright Agent.
Your notice must include all of the following under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- 1A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorised agent.
- 2Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notice, provide a representative list.
- 3Identification of the specific material on our service that you claim is infringing or facilitating infringement — with sufficient detail for us to locate it (e.g., the specific URL on DownloadEra).
- 4Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- 5A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- 6A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

✓ We respond to all valid notices within 24 hours.
4Processing Your Notice
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 24 hours.
- Review the notice for completeness and validity under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).
- Take appropriate action, which may include disabling access to or removing the specific functionality associated with the reported material.
- Notify the user (if identifiable) whose content or access has been affected, as required by law.
- Maintain a record of the notice as required under applicable law.
⚠ False DMCA Notices: Notices that are incomplete, inaccurate, or submitted in bad faith will not be actioned. Submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
5Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe that material was removed or disabled as a result of an erroneous or misidentified DMCA notice, you may submit a counter-notice to our Designated Copyright Agent.
A valid counter-notice must include:
- 1Your physical or electronic signature.
- 2Identification of the material that was removed or disabled, and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- 3A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- 4Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- 5A statement consenting to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which DownloadEra may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original notice.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed material within 10–14 business days unless the complainant informs us that they have filed a court action.
6Repeat Infringer Policy
DownloadEra maintains a policy of terminating or blocking access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion.
7Designated Copyright Agent
